How we work
Interlingua offers customised language courses. Our courses are geared to the participants’ fields of work, so that they can be succesful in their international workfield.
Preparation phase
An effective language course begins with good advice
- Based on a talk with our account manager, we establish your (organizational) goals and learning objectives and compose a proposal for the training.
- Upon your approval of the proposal we plan the intakes (which include speaking and listening assessment) and administer (online) testing (for a more
general assessment based on reading and writing) which serve to establish the participants’ starting levels, goals, and learning objectives. - Based on the intake results, the training advice is composed, comprising the set-up of the groups (based on homogeneous starting levels and goals), training approach, course content, and a breakdown of the costs .
Execution
Planning, location, and material
- The planning is, in consultation, tailored to the preferences and availability of the participants.
- The training takes place in-company or at one of our locations throughout the Netherlands.
- Course material is specially selected for each course, drawing from material we’ve developed ourselves and from all that is available on the market.
- Participants are encouraged to submit their own material, ensuring a central place for his/her own work.
Quality assurance
Evaluations, certificates, and personal assessments
- Halfway through the course, a mid-term evaluation takes place to monitor the progress and quality of the training; if necessary, we adjust the program promptly.
- After the course an online final evaluation takes place, and a report of this is sent to the principal.
- Upon completing the course, all participants receive a personal assessment and, provided they have achieved at least 70% attendance, a certificate.
- After some months, our training advisor or account manager will contact you to discuss whether the training course has led to success in practice.
